Christopher Squier named Executive Director of the Carl Heidenreich Foundation
The Carl Heidenreich Foundation is pleased to name Christopher Squier as Executive Director.
A writer, artist, and curator, Squier has worked with the Foundation since 2017, when he and Alla Efimova conducted oral history interviews with many of the Foundation’s board members about their memories of Carl Heidenreich. In 2019, he assisted with the creation of the Carl Heidenreich catalogue raisonné. In the San Francisco Bay Area, he held positions at numerous art and education institutions, including the CCA Wattis Institute for Contemporary Art, San Francisco Art Institute’s Walter and McBean Galleries, KunstWorks, Dissolve Magazine, and Embark Gallery. He was the 2015 recipient of the SFAI + Kadist exhibitions fellowship.
Dr. Alla Efimova, the Foundation’s former Executive Director, has joined the board as Secretary.
